About

The School is located on three sites. The original school in Saddar, the heart of the city of Karachi, is listed as a heritage building and now houses Classes VII, VIII and IX. At Clifton, not far from the sea front, in a building opened in 1991, we teach children from Nursery to Class VI. Our newest premises, opened in 1999, houses our O and A-level students. The School is entirely independent, receiving no grant from the government or any other source, and is controlled by a Board of Governors registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act of 1860.

Q

What is the purpose of physical education in your school?

A

Kindergarten children have growing bodies, and growing bodies need plenty of exercise. Research suggests that disciplined physical activity may sharpen both mental acuity and appetite for learning. Physical education is a part of schooling.

Physical education activities cover body control (rhythm, flexibility, agility, balance, direction, speed and intensity) simple sports skills (running, jumping, throwing, catching and kicking) and basic games and exercises (rope jumping, footraces, dances and gymnastics). Instruction encourages fitness, respect for rules, sportsmanship, safety and use and care of sports equipment.

Great institution. Produces best local and international university admissions in the country. Extremely hospitable, diverse and inclusive environment where students build profound connections with faculty and are pushed towards an innovative curiosity for the pursuit of knowledge. The oldest educational institution in South Asia, with century-old traditions being celebrated today. A landmark for not only Pakistan but South-Asia, breeding creative thinkers, intellectual risk-takers and entrepreneurial problem-solvers to be the leaders of tomorrow.

Good overall school with campuses in the city. The college section is really good looking and spacious. A level section has produced great results primarily because they take only the best in academics for new admissions which in my opinion is good for them but not so fair.
